In an attempt to beautify its corporate logo, Procter and Gamble inserted an inverted 666 and two horns on its logo. It also included 13 stars. This caused many to boycott Colgate and other P&G products in the 80s!
Rumors died down but were revived in 1995 after top distributors for household product competitor Amway started telling customers that Proctor and Gamble financed satanic cults. P&G won a settlement of $19.25 million.
