Ozzy Osbourne, formerly of Heavy Metal band Black Sabbath, frequently made the double peace sign, or the V-Sign during his performances. His bandmate, Ronnie James Dio began making now-famous (infamous) Sign of the Horns as a response.
Winston Churchill began making the sign during World War 2 to mean V, for victory.
In 1972, Black Sabbath realease its 4th album, aptly entitled Black Sabbath volume 4. The iconic cover features Osbourne doing the double peace sign, or v-sign.
